NOTICE OF 28TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

NOTICE is hereby given that the 28th Annual General Meeting of the Terengganu Bar will be held as follows:

Date : 17th February 2010 / Wednesday
Venue : Theater Hall (Auditorium), Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Terengganu,
Jalan Kemajuan, Padang Hiliran, 21572 Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu.
Time : 3 p.m.

AGENDA

1. To consider, and if approved, to adopt the minutes of the 27th Annual General Meeting held on 25th February, 2009.

2. To discuss the matters arising therefrom.

3. To consider, and if approved, to adopt the Financial Report for the year ended 31st December 2009.

4. To elect:-

a) The Chairman of the Terengganu Bar 2010/2011
b) Not less than four but not more than ten members to form the Terengganu Bar Committee 2010/2011
c) One representative to the Bar Council
d) Two Young Lawyers to represent National Young Lawyers Committee

5. To appoint the Honorary Secretary 2010/2011

6. To discuss and resolve any other agenda brought up by the members.

7. Any matters arising.



TAKE NOTICE THAT if any member wishes to bring any motion in the meeting, he/she MUST submit the issue to the Honorary Secretary by way of a written motion not later than seven (7) days before the meeting. The unsubmitted motion will not be discussed in the meeting.


FURTHER NOTICE is hereby given that if no quorum is present within one hour (i.e by 4 p.m.) on the date, then the 28th Annual General Meeting of the Terengganu Bar shall stand adjourned to the next following day at the same time and place unless otherwise notified to members by the Terengganu Bar Committee in the notice convening the original meeting; and if at such adjourned annual general meeting the quorum is not present within one hour from the time appointed for holding the adjourned meeting, the members present shall constitute the quorum.


PLEASE NOTE that a quorum of at least 13 members are required for the Annual General Meeting AND the Financial Report for the year 2009/2010 will be given to all members prior to the meeting.


PLEASE ALSO BE INFORMED that in conjunction with the 28th Annual General Meeting – an Annual Dinner for the Terengganu Bar members will be held as follows:-


Date : 17th February 2010 / Wednesday
Venue : Puncak Gamelan, 12th Floor,
Primula Hotel Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu.
Time : 8 pm
Dress Code : Smart Casual


PLEASE NOTE that Terengganu Bar will be inviting The Honorable High Court Judge and other court’s officers to the event. We thank you in advance for your participation.
